Privacy Policy

The Logan Dispatch is committed to protecting your privacy. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what information we collect, how we hold and use it, who we disclose it to, and your rights.

  • Newsletter subscriptions: your email address, used solely to send our weekly briefing.
  • Competition entries: name, email, phone (optional), postcode and suburb, used to administer competitions and contact winners.
  • Community features: first name and suburb when using the meetup check-in tool. This information is temporary and automatically expires.
  • Poll responses: when you vote in a reader poll, we record your vote along with a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. The hash is used solely to prevent the same person from voting twice on the same poll. The original IP address is never stored and cannot be recovered from the hash.
  • Analytics: anonymous usage data via Vercel Analytics to understand how readers use the site. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
